LEGO 40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure revealed
The LEGO Group is building on 2023’s 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure with the newly-revealed 40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure, which hits shelves later this year.
Loosely tying into the wider cross-theme collaboration with Formula 1 in 2025, 40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure follows the same basic template as its predecessor but adds on racing fatigues and a helmet. In step with the Formula 1 sets that have avoided named drivers, this isn’t based on a real-world personality, but is instead hooked to the LEGO Octan brand.
It should make for a neat counterpart to the wider Formula 1 range either already available or coming up from City, Speed Champions, Technic, Collectible Minifigures and so on, and happily comes in at the same price as 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure at £46.99 in the UK, $54.99 in the US and from €54.99 in Europe.
For your money you’ll get 694 pieces, which is exactly 40 more than in the 2023 version. You’ll be able to buy 40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure from March 1, 2025, when it will go on sale exclusively in LEGO.com and LEGO Stores (and is very unlikely to ever be available anywhere else, judging by its set number and the availability of its predecessor).
